SSO:USA Research Committee cordially invites you to the Summer Series for Scholars!

Summer 2026 - Session Two will be held Sept 10^th at 7:30pm Eastern / 4:30pm Pacific.

"Leveraging Our Research Priorities to Advance the Science" will be a dialog with Dr. Andrew Persch, Chair of the AOTF Scientific Advisory Council, and Dr. Kendra Heatwole Shank, Chair of the Board of SSO:USA. During the first part of the hour they will talk about the creation and impact of Research Priorities and areas of synergy for SSO and AOTF, and will explore strategies for integrating priorities in order to enhance the impact of core knowledge areas. In the second part of the hour, there will be time for moderated audience questions.

Please join to hear the latest from SSO:USA's work in this area, engage in conversation, spark our shared curiosity, and deepen our knowledge in preparation for our annual research conference in Portland, Maine on November 5-7th.

All summer sessions are FREE to SSO:USA members and will be held via Zoom with Closed Captioning. The zoom link will be sent to membership email accounts the morning of the event.

The Society for the Study of Occupation: USA conference is designed to promote balance, connection, and meaningful engagement. Our conference this year is Charting a Course: Focusing and Catalyzing Research for Action.

Please carefully review all registration options before completing your registration. Registration categories include member, non member, retired member, and student rates. Attendees must select the registration option that matches the programming they plan to attend:

Main conference only
Conference + Pre-Conference Education Session
Conference + Pre-Conference Research Institute
Conference + both Pre-Conference offerings

Early Registration ends: September 11, 2026

Conference registration includes designated conference meals and social events for attendees. A Guest Social Rate may be added to a conference registration and includes the Celebration Dinner and Silent Auction, 2 breakfasts, and 3 receptions. A separate guest add on is also available for guests attending only the Reception, Celebration Dinner, and Silent Auction.

The Conference Guide Program is available for attendees who would like support, networking, and connection during the conference. Participants may choose to be paired with a guide, serve as a guide, or opt out of participation.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made before September 12, 2026 may be completed through the website. Cancellations made between September 12 and October 20, 2026 will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations after October 20, 2026 will receive a refund minus the meal ticket cost of $325.
